Mischievous Elves at BlueTone

Jimmy and Brad walked into work today ready to finish the last day of work before the holidays. No one expected that some of Santa's more mischievous helpers had been at work the night before. Jimmy and Brad walked in to discover their Christmas gifts...but not before finding out that their desks, computers, keyboards, and other possessions had all been wrapped in Christmas paper! Sarah, Megan, Michelle and even Sarah's daughter, Gabi (future BlueTone employee?), took part in the action. The prank was a fun way to wind down the year here at BlueTone. After unwrapping their things, Jimmy found a set of Desk Pet cars; and Brad was greeted with a big candy machine. We hope you have a fun holiday season with your...

You just got Google'd.

That's right, folks. Say goodbye to your precious anonymity - if you've been roaming around the streets of downtown Wilmington lately, you've likely been Googlified in all the worst ways. The Google Maps Street View car has been out and about, capturing updated photographs of our fair city in order to provide accurate and updated views on Google Maps.

What does this mean for you? Not much, unless you've been walking around with your hands in your pants and/or picking your nose. HomeSC Facebook Contest, Powered by BTM

Do you like movies? iPads? What if you could win them? How?

Okay, enough questions thrown at you. Simply go here, like HomeSC and upload a photo showing you living life ahead. So simple.

Of course, some rules apply, but you can still play around and check out the Facebook app we got to make. Facebook does not make these things easy to make (as of yet), so if you ever have an idea for something that's a little beyond you, just let us know and we'll be here to help.

Good luck to you. With the sweet photo I uploaded, you're gonna need it. What? I'm not eligible? Oh well, I guess that puts the odds more in your favor.

Bet you can't say "Moog Doodle" 15 times fast.

Robert Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer, grandfather of electronic instruments, and North Carolina dweller for much of his life, would have been 78 years old today had he not died of brain cancer in 2005. To celebrate this iconic man's life and influence on the world of music, Google's daily doodle is a fully-functional Javascript "analog" "Moog" synthesizer, complete with envelopes, filters, LFOs (low frequency oscillators), and much more. It also features a four-track recorder, with which you can create your own miniature synth jams and then share them with your friends.

Throughout his career, Robert Moog spent countless hours engineering and pioneering electronic instruments,...

Better delete that "Crazy College Nights" photo album...

Job seekers around the country have been reporting a strange new trend in the hiring practices of potential employers - the collection of Facebook usernames and passwords. Indeed, in the last few months it has become increasingly common for potential employers to request an applicant's Facebook login credentials so that they may explore their wall/timeline posts, friends lists, photos, and even personal messages.

Having a prospective employer accessing the last few years of your life in digital form seems like a strange and dangerous practice to us. Millions of people around the world use Facebook for private communication as well as social networking, and allowing a potential...
