Chamber Connections - Hosted by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce

Located inside the conference room at the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce building, the Chamber Connections networking event occurs on the third Monday of every month.

This is a bring-your-own lunch event, where both current members and those looking to join the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce can co-mingle. During the meeting, chamber members will take turns giving 60-second introductions and chamber staff will have the opportunity to provide the community with updates. Sponsoring businesses will be given 15-20 minutes to give a presentation.

Wilmington Elite Networking - Hosted by RockStar Connect 

Wilmington Elite Networking partners with RockStar Connect to host this monthly after-hours networking event.

RockStar Connect believes that you have to give in order to get, which is why this event is totally free. Pizzeria Il Forno also subscribes to this belief by providing their event space and finger foods at no charge. Attendees are encouraged to give back by purchasing drinks from the venue and tipping the waitstaff.

Wilmington Elite Networking boasts that it’s not your average networking event. Nobody is trying to sell you anything and you don’t have to listen to any boring speeches. This is simply an opportunity to have a little fun and swap business cards with other Wilmington-based professionals and businesses.

MEGA Musical Chairs Speed Networking

This event is exactly what it sounds like: a clever combination of musical chairs, speed dating, and traditional networking.

A ticket to the MEGA Musical Chairs Speed Networking event costs $55 but gives you the opportunity to meet and talk to a massive number of local professionals and entrepreneurs. Happening once per quarter, each event starts at 9 a.m. and runs no later than 1 p.m. That’s four hours absolutely packed with networking gold. Event organizers provide snacks but recommend bringing a water bottle since attendees typically do a lot of talking.

BizMix Networking Event - Hosted by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce

Occurring toward the end of each month, each BizMix Networking Event is sponsored by a different company. Not only does this keep things interesting for the attendees, it gives the sponsoring business a chance to really highlight their services and products.

Most BizMix events feature food in one form or another and many of them even offer drink tickets to attendees! They’re really just a great chance to eat, drink, and mingle in style.

Port City Young Professionals Events

Founded by a group of young professionals in Wilmington, NC, Port City Young Professionals hosts multiple networking events every month.

Events range from attending baseball games with other members to having drinks together to attending upscale dinners. The best part is, you don’t have to be a member to go! Many PCYP events are free for members and charge non-members a fee to attend. Plus, most events feature plenty of food and drinks!
